Stuck in safe mode and couldn't find the boot drive. For the price, I said what the "hay" and got it. Would have been great to have instructions for the more novice user, fairly easy for the somewhat knowledgeable. Fair warning! Would buy it again in a minute! Oh my word, this was a lifesaver! It shipped quickly and worked like a charm. It was easy to use, just plug in the usb and the computer started to boot from it. The install was quick and simple. I give this product an overall two stars, one because it works and two because it actually recovered my computer..
This is only for a fresh and clean reinstall of Windows 10 -Drivers and utilities inside the USB are redundant since they require certain files to work that it doesn't have. I followed the directions with the papers they sent with the thumb drive it did not work like it said it would work I did everything it said and still it does not work it just keeps saying drive failure and then they want me to call a number that's on the paper if it doesn't work it doesn't work I don't know how to return this item but it does not work at all like it's supposed to it's a waste of money and time.
One person found this helpful. Following instructions provided allowed me to find out my Hard Drive failed. I order a new one from Amazon and the installed the boot disk allowed me to reinstall Windows 10 and then restore my files thru the windows one drive and my back up drive. There is no way of knowing if it would work.
